Task 2 will design, install, and maintain new data services from beneficiary institutes. We expect to install 15 to 20 new interoperable services in this task, all responsive to EPN-TAP and searchable via the VESPA portal. New services will include derived data from various space missions, plus observations and simulations of exoplanets. Some services will be set up to distribute selected results from the run-on-demand platform (OPUS) installed in JRA2 task 2, in particular ExPRES (ObsParis) and ExoAI (UCL). Solar and planetary data catalogues from VizieR will be interfaced with the VESPA portal to make data from professional publications easily searchable (ObsParis & CDS). Although the roadmap for services implementation is clearly identified, flexibility is expected during the program.
Data produced in other Europlanet WP (TAs & NA2, plus GMAP, ML, SPIDER) must be made available as EPN-TAP services, as per the DMP. Support will be provided in this task.
Sub-tasks related to various science themes (surfaces, atmospheres, plasma, heliophysics, exoplanets, dynamics, solid spectroscopy/SSHADE) will handle the design phase of data services whenever required (data models, EPN-TAP extensions, etc) in relation with JRA task 4, as well as the study of use cases and generation of topical tutorials in relation with VA task 6.
