Preparation of the Task Meeting at IRAP, February 23-24 2017

  • Objectives
    • Identify commonnalities, functionalities, and interfaces between the various developments made at IRAP, UCL, and IAP
    • Identify the datasets available in the CDPP AMDA tool that can be used in the tools developed at UCL and IAP
  • Brainstorming
    • Add a SAMP interface to the tool developed at UCL and IAP in order to send/receive data to/from the CDPP AMDA tool
    • Link the database of model runs available at UCL to the data tree in the CDPP AMDA tool (using EPN-TAP and as remote database following the IMPEx developments)
    • Work on an interface similar to TRANSPLANET in order to do and archive runs on request from the giant planet magnetodisc simulation (VESPA/PSWS)

UCL : EPN-TAP service starting (DACHS server ready, epn-core scheme existing)

  • Matlab to NetCDF : custom script to be build :
    • Standard ? CF 1.6 & NetCDF (LATMOS) to be compared, then script→  mid-April (UCL)
  • Ingestion in 3DView :
    • Feasibility on 3DView to use (rho, Z) coordinates ? →  mid-March
      • Test file to be sent ASAP
    • Representation ? meridian cut (X,Z) plane
