This task will focus on preselected databases from the amateur community and will provide them with an interoperable interface. VESPA’s preselected services will increase the coverage of survey observations. This includes PVOL (Planetary Virtual Observatory & Laboratory, an imaging database of planets, to be handled by UVP/EHU and RadioJove (radio observations of Jupiter fed mainly by observers in the US, to be handled by OBSPARIS). OEAW will provide (in NA Science/task 4) a system through the “database of ground-based observatories” (http://europlanet-na1.oeaw.ac.at/matrix/), which will allow amateurs to setup their own database. In Task 4, OEAW will provide the interoperability layer to make these data accessible through VESPA.
